Findus caught up in horse meat crisis

Findus Group is the latest food company to be caught up in the UK horse meat scandal, with its beef lasagne range, reports Marketing.

Young’s Seafood owner Findus, in the wake of an announcement by French supplier Comigel that some of its ingredients did not conform to product specification, has withdrawn its 320g, 360g and 500g packs of beef lasagne off the shelves.

Until now, the horse meat saga had only been centred around Irish supplier Silvercrest.

Findus were unavailable for comment to Marketing.
